It raises many questions. For data controllers, CNIL fines are a financial loss for which they seek compensation from their processor. Is this position defensible?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; color: #808080;\">Negotiators are calling for a specific cap to limit damages caused by GDPR violations. What, then, is the situation of joint controllers who jointly determine the purposes and means of processing?
