CBEF | Breakfast Discussion

This morning, Christophe JACOMIN, alongside Paulo Barbosa, hosted a breakfast discussion organized by the CBEF (Cercle des Banques Étrangères en France / Circle of Foreign Banks in France) on the topic of financial fraud and its implications for banks.

The discussion addressed several major issues:

● The evolution of financial fraud, including its various forms, new channels and methods, and the significant increase in scale observed in recent years;

● The concrete impact of these risks on banks, as well as the mitigation and remediation strategies they are implementing;

● Developments in the regulatory framework, particularly regarding PSD3, the Payment Services Regulation (PSR), Verification of Payee (VoP), and questions surrounding liability and responsibility.
