France’s national fraud information-sharing system, the FNC-RF, was launched in May, and the number of connected banks continues to grow.

The FNC-RF is not simply a database; it addresses major issues related to GDPR compliance, anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CFT), and banking fraud. In fact, France may have taken the first step toward creating a European fraud information-sharing network.

Drawing on contributions from Member of Parliament Daniel Labaronne (who initiated the law), legislative texts and regulations issued by the Banque de France, as well as reports from the steering committee, Banfico and Christophe Jacomin (Partner | Herald, formerly Granrut) have developed a practical guide on the FNC-RF covering its requirements, how it operates, and the procedures for achieving compliance.
